Field Mob is an American hip hop duo from Albany, Georgia, consisting of artists Shawn Johnson (known as Smoke) and Darion Crawford (known as Boondox). They gained popularity in the early 2000s with their debut album "613: Ashy to Classy" released in 2000. The album featured collaborations with artists like Ludacris and Trina. Field Mob is known for their Southern hip hop style, incorporating storytelling, social commentary, and humorous lyrics into their music.


In 2006, Field Mob released their most successful album to date, "Light Poles and Pine Trees," which featured the hit single "So What" featuring Ciara. The song reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Field Mob continued to release music and collaborate with other artists throughout the late 2000s and early 2010s. Despite facing some challenges and setbacks in their career, Field Mob remains respected in the hip hop community for their unique sound and lyrical prowess.
