Figures On A Beach released their debut album, "Standing on Ceremony," in 1989, which featured their most well-known single "No Stars." The song received significant airplay on college radio stations and MTV. The band's sound was characterized by catchy melodies, upbeat rhythms, and electronic elements. Figures On A Beach disbanded in the early 1990s but left a lasting impact on the new wave music scene with their energetic and danceable tracks.
