Fine Young Cannibals were a British band formed in Birmingham in 1984. The band consisted of vocalist Roland Gift, guitarist and keyboardist Andy Cox, and bassist David Steele. They were known for their unique blend of pop, rock, and soul music, which gained them international success in the late 1980s.
Their self-titled debut album was released in 1985 and included hits like "Johnny Come Home" and "Suspicious Minds." Their second album, "The Raw & the Cooked," released in 1988, was a major commercial success, featuring chart-topping singles like "She Drives Me Crazy" and "Good Thing." The album won two Grammy Awards and solidified Fine Young Cannibals as one of the most popular bands of the late 1980s. Despite their success, the band disbanded in 1992, with each member pursuing their own musical projects.
