Artist Bio:
First Choice was an American girl group formed in Philadelphia in the early 1970s. The group was originally composed of lead singer Rochelle Fleming, Annette Guest, and Joyce Jones. They were one of the first female vocal groups signed to the legendary soul music label, Philly Groove Records. First Choice is best known for their disco and dance music hits in the 1970s, including "Armed and Extremely Dangerous," "Smarty Pants," and "Doctor Love."
Their music often featured strong vocals and tight harmonies, which helped them stand out in the competitive music scene of the time. First Choice's songs have been sampled and remixed by numerous artists over the years, solidifying their place in music history. Despite various lineup changes over the years, First Choice continued to perform and release music well into the 1980s and beyond, leaving a lasting impact on the disco and dance music genres.
