Five By Five was an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965. The group consisted of lead vocalist Mike Deasy, guitarist Steve Hunter, keyboardist John Parker, bassist Jimmy Greenspoon, and drummer Billy Mundi. They were known for their blues-influenced rock sound and energetic live performances. Five By Five released their self-titled debut album in 1966, which featured a mix of original songs and cover tracks. The band gained a following in the Los Angeles music scene but did not achieve mainstream success. Five By Five disbanded in 1967 after only a brief stint together.
Despite their short-lived career, Five By Five is remembered as a notable part of the 1960s rock music scene. Their music continues to be appreciated by fans of the era and collectors of vintage rock recordings.
