Five Man Electrical Band was a Canadian rock group formed in Ottawa in the late 1960s. The band's lineup consisted of Les Emmerson (vocals, guitar), Ted Gerow (keyboards), Brian Rading (bass), Vern Craig (drums), and Rick Bell (guitar). Their music was characterized by socially conscious lyrics and a mix of rock, pop, and folk influences. In addition to "Signs," the band is also known for their other hit single "Absolutely Right." Five Man Electrical Band disbanded in the mid-1970s but their music continues to be remembered and appreciated by fans of classic rock.
