Five Stairsteps & Cubie was an American family group that achieved success in the 1960s and 1970s. The group consisted of five siblings: Alohe, Clarence Jr., James, Dennis, and Kenneth Burke, along with their cousin, Cubie. They were known for their soulful harmonies and were considered pioneers in the soul and R&B genres. One of their most popular songs was "O-o-h Child," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1970.
The group was signed to the Buddah label and released several albums throughout their career. They were known for their energetic live performances and were praised for their vocal abilities.
