The Five Stairsteps were an American Chicago-based sibling soul group consisting of Alohe Jean, Clarence Jr., James, Dennis, and Kenneth Burke. They are best known for their hit songs "O-o-h Child" and "A Million to One." The group's music blended soul, R&B, and pop elements, and they were active in the 1960s and 1970s. The group disbanded in the 1970s but left a lasting impact on the music industry with their soulful harmonies and catchy tunes.
Cubie Burke was a member of the Five Stairsteps and was the youngest sibling in the group. Cubie joined the group when he was just a child, adding his vocals to the group's harmonies. Cubie's contributions to the group's music helped solidify their sound and appeal to audiences. Despite the group disbanding, the music of the Five Stairsteps & Cubie continues to be celebrated by fans of soul and R&B music.
