Floyd Cramer was an American musician known for his innovative piano style that fused country, pop, and rock music. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1933, Cramer gained fame in the 1950s and 1960s as a session musician, working with artists like Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, and the Everly Brothers. He was a member of the "Nashville A-Team," a group of highly sought-after studio musicians in Nashville, Tennessee.

Cramer is best known for his distinctive "slip note" piano technique, where he would smoothly glide from one note to another, creating a signature sound that became his trademark.
