Floyd Cramer (1933-1997) was an American Hall of Fame pianist known for his distinctive "slip note" piano style and contributions to the Nashville sound in country music. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Cramer began his music career as a session musician in the 1950s, playing on recordings for artists such as Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, and The Everly Brothers.


Cramer released numerous solo albums throughout his career, with hits like "Last Date" and "On the Rebound" showcasing his signature piano style. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. Cramer's influence on country and popular music continues to be felt, and his innovative piano playing is celebrated by fans and musicians alike.
