Flyleaf is an American rock band formed in Texas in 2002. The original lineup consisted of lead vocalist Lacey Sturm, guitarists Sameer Bhattacharya and Jared Hartmann, bassist Pat Seals, and drummer James Culpepper. The band is known for their alternative rock sound, incorporating elements of metal and post-grunge into their music.
Flyleaf gained popularity with their self-titled debut album released in 2005, which featured hit singles such as "I'm So Sick" and "Fully Alive." Lacey Sturm's powerful vocals and emotional lyrics resonated with fans, earning the band a dedicated following. Flyleaf continued to release successful albums, with Sturm eventually departing from the band in 2012 and being replaced by Kristen May. Despite lineup changes, Flyleaf has maintained a strong presence in the rock music scene, with a unique sound and impactful lyrics that have connected with audiences worldwide.
