Foster Sylvers is an American singer, songwriter, and musician born on February 25, 1962. He is best known for being a member of the family group The Sylvers, a successful R&B/soul music act of the 1970s. Foster was the bass guitarist for the group and also contributed vocals to their songs. The Sylvers achieved commercial success with hits like "Boogie Fever" and "Hot Line."


In addition to his work with The Sylvers, Foster Sylvers also released solo music. He released his self-titled debut album in 1973, which included the hit single "Misdemeanor." Foster continued to pursue a solo career throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Despite facing personal challenges later in life, Foster Sylvers remains a respected figure in the music industry for his contributions to the soul and R&B genres.
