Artist Bio:
Fotomaker was a rock band formed in the 1970s in New York City. The band was composed of members D. A. Sebasstian (vocals, guitar), Lex Marchesi (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Frankie Vinci (vocals, guitar), and Tad Lemire (vocals, bass). Fotomaker released three albums between 1978 and 1979: "Fotomaker," "Vis-A-Vis," and "Transfer Station." The band was known for their power pop sound and catchy melodies, drawing comparisons to bands like The Raspberries and Cheap Trick.
Fotomaker achieved moderate success with their self-titled debut album, which included the single "Miles Away" that received airplay on rock radio stations. Despite their critical acclaim and strong live performances, Fotomaker disbanded in 1979 due to lack of commercial success. Over the years, Fotomaker has gained a cult following among power pop enthusiasts and collectors of 1970s rock music.
