Artist Bio:
Fountains of Wayne was an American rock band formed in New York City in 1995. The band was known for its power pop sound and clever, often humorous lyrics. The group's lineup consisted of co-founders Chris Collingwood (vocals, guitar) and Adam Schlesinger (bass, vocals), along with Jody Porter (guitar, vocals) and Brian Young (drums). Fountains of Wayne achieved commercial success with their 2003 hit single "Stacy's Mom," which received critical acclaim and earned them a Grammy nomination.

The band released five studio albums during their career, including their self-titled debut album in 1996 and "Welcome Interstate Managers" in 2003. Fountains of Wayne's music was characterized by catchy melodies, intricate harmonies, and witty storytelling. In addition to their own work, members of the band were involved in various side projects and collaborations. Tragically, Adam Schlesinger passed away in 2020 due to complications from COVID-19, bringing an end to the band's musical journey.
