The Four Tops are an American vocal quartet formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1953. The group's original lineup consisted of lead singer Levi Stubbs, Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson, and Lawrence Payton. They are best known for their Motown hits in the 1960s and 1970s, including classics like "Reach Out I'll Be There," "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)," and "Baby I Need Your Loving."


The Four Tops were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and have received numerous awards and accolades throughout their career. They have sold over 50 million records worldwide and continue to perform and tour, with Abdul "Duke" Fakir being the only surviving original member. The group's distinctive harmonies and powerful lead vocals have solidified their status as one of the greatest vocal groups of all time.
