They became one of the most successful and enduring vocal groups in the history of Motown Records, known for their smooth harmonies and powerful lead vocals by Stubbs. The Four Tops achieved their first major hit in 1964 with the song "Baby I Need Your Loving," and went on to produce a string of successful singles throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)" and "Reach Out I'll Be There."

The Four Tops were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and have received numerous awards and accolades for their contributions to music. Despite changes in the music industry over the years, the group continued to perform and record music, maintaining a loyal fan base and solidifying their legacy as one of the greatest vocal groups of all time.
