The Four Tops are an American vocal quartet formed in 1953 in Detroit, Michigan. The group's original lineup consisted of Levi Stubbs, Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson, and Lawrence Payton. They were known for their distinctive harmonies and energetic performances, becoming one of the most successful Motown groups in the 1960s and 1970s.


The Four Tops achieved numerous hit singles, including classics like "Reach Out I'll Be There," "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)," and "Baby I Need Your Loving." They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and have continued to perform and tour over the years.
