The Four Tops are an American vocal quartet formed in 1953 in Detroit, Michigan. The group's original lineup consisted of Levi Stubbs, Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson, and Lawrence Payton. They are best known for their Motown hits in the 1960s and 1970s, including songs like "Reach Out I'll Be There," "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)," and "Baby I Need Your Loving."


The Four Tops were one of Motown's most successful acts, with a string of hit singles and albums throughout their career. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and have continued to perform and record music, solidifying their legacy as one of the most iconic vocal groups in music history.
