Frank Ifield is an English-born Australian easy listening and country music singer who was popular in the 1960s. He was born on November 30, 1937, in Coundon, Coventry, England. Ifield moved to Australia with his family at a young age and began his music career in the late 1950s.
Ifield is best known for his yodeling style of singing, which set him apart from other artists of his time. He achieved success with hits such as "I Remember You" and "Lovesick Blues", both of which topped the UK Singles Chart. Ifield's career saw him touring internationally and he also made appearances on television shows. He was inducted into the Australian Roll of Renown in 2005 in recognition of his contribution to the country music industry.
