Artist Bio:
Frank Lucas (1930-2019) was an American drug trafficker who operated in Harlem during the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was known for his innovative smuggling methods, which included hiding heroin in the coffins of dead American servicemen returning from Vietnam. Lucas rose to prominence as one of the leading drug kingpins in New York City during this time.

Lucas was famously portrayed by Denzel Washington in the 2007 film "American Gangster," which was based on his life story. He was eventually arrested in 1975 and sentenced to 70 years in prison. However, Lucas cooperated with law enforcement and his sentence was reduced to 15 years. After serving his time, Lucas became a born-again Christian and worked to discourage young people from getting involved in drugs and crime. He passed away in 2019 at the age of 88.
