Frank Slay was an American songwriter, producer, and bandleader who formed the group Frank Slay and His Orchestra. The orchestra was active in the 1950s and 1960s, known for their pop and rock 'n' roll music. One of their most famous recordings was the instrumental song "Flying Circle," which reached number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1959. Frank Slay and His Orchestra also worked as a backing band for various artists and provided arrangements for many recordings during their career.


In addition to his work with the orchestra, Frank Slay co-wrote and produced several hit songs, including "Just a Dream" by Jimmy Clanton and "Sorry (I Ran All the Way Home)" by The Impalas. Slay's contributions to the music industry have left a lasting impact, particularly in the realm of pop and rock music from the mid-20th century.
