Artist Bio:
Franke & The Knockouts was an American pop rock band formed in New Jersey in the early 1980s. The band was fronted by lead vocalist and songwriter Franke Previte and included members Billy Elworthy, Blake Levinsohn, Leigh Foxx, and Claude LeHenaff. They gained popularity in the early 1980s with their catchy and melodic radio-friendly songs.

One of their most well-known hits was "Sweetheart," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1981. The band released three studio albums during their career: "Franke & The Knockouts" (1981), "Below the Belt" (1982), and "Makin' the Point" (1984). Despite their success in the early 1980s, Franke & The Knockouts disbanded in 1986. Franke Previte went on to achieve further success as a songwriter, co-writing the hit song "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" from the movie "Dirty Dancing."
