Frankie Avalon is an American singer, actor, and former teen idol who rose to fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He was born Francis Thomas Avallone on September 18, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Avalon started his career as a trumpet player before transitioning to singing and acting. He is best known for his hit songs such as "Venus," "De De Dinah," and "Bobby Sox to Stockings."
In addition to his successful music career, Avalon also appeared in a number of popular films, including "Beach Party" and its sequels, where he starred alongside Annette Funicello. He continued to perform and make occasional film and television appearances throughout the years, solidifying his status as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
