Artist Bio:
Frankie Lymon was an American singer and songwriter born on September 30, 1942, in Harlem, New York City. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the teenage doo-wop group Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers, known for their hit song "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" in 1956. Lymon's high-pitched vocals and youthful charm helped the group achieve success during the early years of rock and roll.

Despite his initial success, Lymon struggled with drug addiction and legal issues in his later years, which ultimately led to his tragic death at the young age of 25 on February 27, 1968. Despite his short-lived career, Frankie Lymon's influence on the music industry, particularly in the doo-wop genre, is still recognized today.
