Artist Bio:
Freddie and the Dreamers were a British band formed in Manchester in 1959. The band's lineup consisted of Freddie Garrity (vocals), Roy Crewdson (guitar), Derek Quinn (guitar), Peter Birrell (bass), and Bernie Dwyer (drums). They were known for their comedic stage antics and their hit songs, which often had a lighthearted and catchy pop sound.
One of Freddie and the Dreamers' biggest hits was "I'm Telling You Now," which reached the top of the charts in the United States and the United Kingdom in 1965. The band also had success with songs like "You Were Made for Me" and "Do the Freddie." Despite their initial popularity, Freddie and the Dreamers' success waned in the late 1960s, and they eventually disbanded in 1971.
