Freddie North is an American soul singer who rose to prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was born on May 28, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee. North signed with the Nashboro Records label and released several singles that achieved moderate success on the R&B charts.


One of his most well-known songs is "Don't Take Her, She's All I Got," which reached the top of the R&B charts in 1971. This song also crossed over to the pop charts, peaking at number 39. North's soulful voice and emotive delivery were his trademarks, earning him a dedicated fan base. Despite his talent and success, North never achieved mainstream stardom but remains a respected figure in the soul music genre.
