Artist Bio:
Friend And Lover was a pop-folk music duo consisting of husband and wife team Jim Post and Cathy Conn in the 1960s and 1970s. They are best known for their hit single "Reach Out of the Darkness," which was released in 1968 and peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song is known for its message of love and unity, and it became an anthem for the peace and love movement of the era.
Despite the success of "Reach Out of the Darkness," Friend And Lover did not achieve the same level of commercial success with their other music. They released an album of the same name in 1968, but were unable to replicate the popularity of their hit single. Friend And Lover eventually disbanded, and Jim Post went on to have a solo career in music and acting.
