Artist Bio:
Gary Lewis and The Playboys were an American pop and rock band that achieved mainstream success in the 1960s. The band was fronted by Gary Lewis, who is the son of comedian and actor Jerry Lewis. The group's biggest hit was "This Diamond Ring," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1965. They followed this up with several other top ten hits, including "Count Me In" and "Save Your Heart for Me."
Despite their initial success, Gary Lewis and The Playboys' popularity waned in the late 1960s, and the band eventually disbanded in the early 1970s. Gary Lewis continued to perform as a solo artist and occasionally reunited with The Playboys for special performances. The band's catchy melodies and Lewis' smooth vocals contributed to their enduring appeal among fans of 1960s pop music.
