Gary U.S. Bonds is an American rhythm and blues and rock and roll singer. Born on June 6, 1939, in Jacksonville, Florida, his birth name is Gary Levone Anderson. He is best known for his hits in the 1960s, including "New Orleans" and "Quarter to Three," which both reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Bonds' music had a raw and energetic sound that was influential in the development of rock and roll.


In addition to his success in the 1960s, Gary U.S. Bonds experienced a career resurgence in the 1980s with the help of musician Bruce Springsteen, who produced his album "Dedication" in 1981. The album included the hit single "This Little Girl," which became a top 10 hit. Bonds continues to perform and record music, showcasing his powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence.
