Gary U.S. Bonds, born Gary Levone Anderson on June 6, 1939, is an American rhythm and blues and rock and roll singer. He is best known for his hits in the early 1960s, including "New Orleans" and "Quarter to Three," which both reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Bonds' music was heavily influenced by the sound of New Orleans rhythm and blues, resulting in a distinctive and energetic style that set him apart from other artists of his time.


In the 1980s, Bonds experienced a career resurgence with the help of musician Steven Van Zandt, who produced his album "Dedication" in 1981. The album featured the hit single "This Little Girl," which reached the top 10 on the charts. Bonds continues to perform and record music, maintaining a dedicated fan base who appreciate his lively and soulful performances.
