Artist Bio:
Gene Cotton is an American singer-songwriter who gained popularity in the 1970s. He was born on June 30, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio. Cotton's music style is often described as folk-pop, and he is known for his soft and melodic voice. He signed with ABC Records in the early 1970s and released his debut album, "For All the Young Writers," in 1973.

Cotton's most successful single was "You Got Me Runnin'," which reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1978. He continued to release music throughout the 1970s and 1980s, but did not achieve the same level of commercial success as some of his contemporaries. Despite this, Cotton has maintained a dedicated fan base over the years.
