Artist Bio:
Gene Loves Jezebel is a British rock band formed in 1980 by identical twin brothers Jay Aston and Michael Aston. The band's music is characterized by a blend of post-punk, gothic rock, and new wave elements. They gained popularity in the 1980s with their unique sound and flamboyant image, becoming known for their androgynous style and theatrical live performances.

Gene Loves Jezebel released several albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s, with their most well-known songs being "Desire" and "Jealous." The band experienced lineup changes over the years, with Michael Aston departing in 1997 and forming his own version of Gene Loves Jezebel. Despite the split, both versions of the band continued to perform and release music independently. Gene Loves Jezebel's music has influenced a generation of alternative rock bands and continues to have a dedicated fan base worldwide.
