Artist Bio:
Gene Pitney was an American singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the early 1960s with hits such as "Town Without Pity" and "Only Love Can Break a Heart." He was known for his distinctive tenor voice and emotive delivery, which helped him establish a successful career in the music industry. Pitney was also a talented songwriter, penning many of his own hits as well as songs for other artists.


Throughout his career, Pitney released over 20 studio albums and had numerous chart-topping singles. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002 and enjoyed a loyal fan base both in the United States and internationally. Pitney continued to perform live and record music until his untimely death in 2006 while on tour in the UK. His legacy lives on through his timeless music and contributions to the pop and rock genres.
