Throughout his career, Gene Pitney recorded a string of hits, including "Town Without Pity," "Only Love Can Break a Heart," and "Twenty Four Hours from Tulsa." He also collaborated with other artists, such as Marc Almond on the song "Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart." Pitney was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002 and continued to perform until his untimely death in 2006.
