Artist Bio:
Genesis is a British rock band formed in 1967 by Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Peter Gabriel, Anthony Phillips, and Chris Stewart. The band is known for their progressive rock sound, complex song structures, and theatrical live performances. Genesis achieved commercial success in the 1970s and 1980s with albums like "Selling England by the Pound," "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway," and "Invisible Touch." Peter Gabriel left the band in 1975 and was replaced by Phil Collins as the lead vocalist. Genesis continued to release successful albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s, with hits like "Land of Confusion" and "I Can't Dance."

Genesis has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010. Despite going on hiatus in the 2000s, Genesis reunited for a tour in 2007 and released their most recent studio album, "Calling All Stations," in 1997.
