Genesis is an English rock band formed in 1967 by Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Peter Gabriel, Anthony Phillips, and Chris Stewart. In the early years, Peter Gabriel was the lead vocalist and frontman, known for his theatrical stage presence and elaborate costumes. After Gabriel's departure in 1975, drummer Phil Collins took over as lead vocalist, leading the band to commercial success with albums like "Duke" and "Invisible Touch."
Genesis has released numerous successful albums, including "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway," "A Trick of the Tail," and "Selling England by the Pound." They have sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Genesis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
