George Harrison was an English musician, singer, songwriter, and member of the Beatles, one of the most successful and influential bands in the history of popular music. Born on February 25, 1943, in Liverpool, England, Harrison joined the Beatles in 1958 as their lead guitarist. He contributed to the band's songwriting and vocals, and his interest in Indian culture and music had a significant influence on the band's sound, particularly in songs like "Norwegian Wood" and "Within You Without You."
After the Beatles disbanded in 1970, Harrison embarked on a successful solo career, releasing several critically acclaimed albums, such as "All Things Must Pass" and "Living in the Material World." He also organized the Concert for Bangladesh in 1971, one of the first major benefit concerts in history. Harrison was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in 2004. He passed away on November 29, 2001, in Los Angeles, California, after battling lung cancer.
