George Harrison (1943-2001) was an English musician, singer, songwriter, and music producer, best known as the lead guitarist of the legendary band, The Beatles. He was born in Liverpool, England, and joined the band in 1958, when it was still known as The Quarrymen. Harrison's contributions to The Beatles' music included iconic songs such as "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "Something." He was also a skilled sitar player, introducing elements of Indian music into the band's sound.
After The Beatles disbanded in 1970, Harrison pursued a successful solo career, releasing several critically acclaimed albums, including "All Things Must Pass" and "Living in the Material World." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in 2004. Harrison was known for his spiritual beliefs, particularly his interest in Hinduism and meditation, which heavily influenced his music and personal life. He passed away in 2001 after a battle with lung cancer.
