George Harrison was an English musician, singer, songwriter, and film producer who gained worldwide fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. Born on February 25, 1943, in Liverpool, England, Harrison contributed his distinctive lead guitar work and songwriting abilities to the Beatles, helping to shape their sound and influence the direction of popular music in the 1960s. He wrote some of the band's most iconic songs, including "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," "Here Comes the Sun," and "Something."
After the Beatles disbanded in 1970, Harrison launched a successful solo career, releasing several critically acclaimed albums such as "All Things Must Pass" and "Living in the Material World." He also organized the Concert for Bangladesh in 1971, one of the first large-scale benefit concerts in history. George Harrison was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in 2004, and he passed away on November 29, 2001, leaving behind a lasting legacy as a talented musician and songwriter.
