George LaMond is a Puerto Rican-American freestyle music and salsa singer. He was born on February 25, 1967, in Washington, D.C. LaMond is best known for his hits in the freestyle genre during the late 1980s and early 1990s, such as "Bad of the Heart" and "Look Into My Eyes." He was one of the few freestyle artists to cross over into the mainstream music scene. LaMond's music often combined elements of dance-pop, R&B, and Latin influences, making him a popular artist in the club scene.
In addition to his success in the freestyle genre, LaMond also made a successful transition to salsa music later in his career. He released several albums in the salsa genre, including "Oye Mi Canto" and "GL."
