Gerald Levert was an American R&B singer, songwriter, and producer. He was born on July 13, 1966, in Cleveland, Ohio, and was the son of Eddie Levert, the lead singer of the O'Jays. Gerald Levert found success as a member of the R&B group LeVert, which he formed with his brother Sean and friend Marc Gordon. The group released several albums in the 1980s and 1990s, including hits like "Casanova" and "Baby I'm Ready."


In addition to his work with LeVert, Gerald Levert had a successful solo career, releasing several albums that showcased his smooth vocals and soulful style. He collaborated with many other artists in the R&B genre, including Johnny Gill, Keith Sweat, and Patti LaBelle. Gerald Levert's music often explored themes of love, relationships, and social issues. He was known for his powerful voice and emotional delivery, earning him a dedicated fan base. Gerald Levert passed away on November 10, 2006, at the age of 40.
