Gerald Levert was an American R&B singer, songwriter, and producer, born on July 13, 1966, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the son of Eddie Levert, the lead vocalist of the O'Jays. Gerald Levert rose to fame in the 1980s as a member of the R&B group LeVert, alongside his brother Sean Levert and childhood friend Marc Gordon. The group had several hits, including "Casanova" and "Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop (Goes My Mind)."


After the group disbanded, Gerald Levert embarked on a successful solo career, releasing several albums that showcased his soulful voice and talent for writing emotional ballads. Some of his popular solo hits include "I Swear," "Baby Hold On to Me," and "Made to Love Ya." Gerald Levert was known for his smooth vocals and passionate delivery, earning him a reputation as one of the leading voices in contemporary R&B music. He passed away on November 10, 2006, at the age of 40, leaving behind a legacy of timeless music.
