Artist Bio:
Gerry and the Pacemakers were a British beat group from Liverpool, England, formed in 1959. They were contemporaries of The Beatles and achieved significant success in the early 1960s. The group was led by Gerry Marsden and was known for their catchy melodies and upbeat sound. One of their most famous songs is "Ferry Cross the Mersey," which became an anthem for the city of Liverpool.

The band's biggest hit came in 1963 with their cover of the song "You'll Never Walk Alone," which became their signature tune and is still sung by fans of Liverpool Football Club before every home game. Gerry and the Pacemakers enjoyed several other chart-topping hits in the UK before disbanding in 1966. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014 for their contributions to the music industry.
