Artist Bio:
Gerry and the Pacemakers were a British beat group prominent during the 1960s Merseybeat era. They were formed in Liverpool, England, in 1959 by Gerry Marsden, his brother Fred Marsden, Les Chadwick, and Arthur McMahon. The band was managed by Brian Epstein, who also managed The Beatles.

Gerry and the Pacemakers achieved success with their first three singles reaching number one in the UK charts: "How Do You Do It?", "I Like It", and "You'll Never Walk Alone". The latter became an anthem for the Liverpool Football Club. The band also had other hits such as "Ferry Cross the Mersey" and "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying". Despite their success, the band disbanded in 1966. Gerry Marsden continued to perform as a solo artist until his death in 2021.
