Artist Bio:
Gladys Knight and The Pips were an American R&B/soul group that gained popularity in the 1960s and 1970s. The group originally formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1952, and consisted of lead vocalist Gladys Knight and her backup singers, known as The Pips. The group's lineup included Gladys Knight's brother Merald "Bubba" Knight, and cousins Edward Patten and William Guest. They are known for their smooth harmonies and soulful performances.


Gladys Knight and The Pips achieved commercial success with hits such as "Midnight Train to Georgia," "Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)," and "If I Were Your Woman." They won several Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. The group disbanded in 1989, and Gladys Knight continued her successful music career as a solo artist.
