The Pips provided backing vocals and choreography to complement Gladys Knight's powerful and soulful voice.

Gladys Knight and the Pips achieved commercial success in the 1960s and 1970s with hits such as "Midnight Train to Georgia," "Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)," and "If I Were Your Woman." They won three Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
