Artist Bio:
Gladys Knight and The Pips were an American R&B/soul music group formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1952. The group originally consisted of siblings Gladys Knight, Merald "Bubba" Knight, William Guest, and cousin Edward Patten. They are best known for their string of hit singles in the 1960s and 1970s, including "Midnight Train to Georgia," "Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)," and "If I Were Your Woman."


Gladys Knight and The Pips were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001. They won three Grammy Awards and had several top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B charts. The group disbanded in 1989, and Gladys Knight pursued a successful solo career. Throughout their career, Gladys Knight and The Pips were known for their smooth harmonies, powerful vocals, and dynamic stage presence.
