Gladys Knight and the Pips were an American R&B/soul group formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1952. The group consisted of lead vocalist Gladys Knight and her backing singers/bandmates, known as "The Pips," which included her brother Merald "Bubba" Knight and cousins Edward Patten and William Guest.
Throughout their career, Gladys Knight and the Pips achieved great success with hits like "Midnight Train to Georgia," "Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)," and "If I Were Your Woman." They won multiple Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. The group's powerful vocals and soulful performances solidified their place as one of the most iconic and influential R&B groups of the 1960s and 1970s.
