Artist Bio:
Gladys Knight and The Pips were an American R&B/soul group that was formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1952. The group consisted of lead vocalist Gladys Knight along with her brother Merald "Bubba" Knight and their cousins Edward Patten and William Guest. They gained fame in the 1960s and 1970s with hits such as "Midnight Train to Georgia," "If I Were Your Woman," and "Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)."


Gladys Knight and The Pips were known for their smooth harmonies and powerful vocals, with Gladys Knight's soulful voice standing out as a defining feature of the group. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001. The group disbanded in 1989, with Gladys Knight continuing as a solo artist and the Pips pursuing other interests.
