Artist Bio:
Gladys Knight and The Pips were an American R&B/soul group formed in 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia. The group's original lineup consisted of Gladys Knight along with her brother Merald "Bubba" Knight and their cousins Edward Patten and William Guest. They gained fame in the 1960s and 1970s with hits such as "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" and "Midnight Train to Georgia".


Gladys Knight and The Pips were known for their soulful harmonies and energetic live performances. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001. The group disbanded in 1989, with Gladys Knight continuing her successful solo career. Gladys Knight and The Pips left a lasting impact on the music industry and are considered one of the most iconic R&B groups of all time.
